10-03-2003 -- Press Release
CLAREMONT, Calif., --
TranStar Systems, Inc.'s ( www.transtarsystems.com )
smartcard and wireless customer loyalty technology is changing the
way retailers do business. Recently featured as a "Product to Watch"
in Retail Systems Reseller, a leading retail trade publication, the
TranStar smartcard will soon be providing Smart Card solution for
retail, hospitality, government, and healthcare organizations.
The banking industry's leading publication,
American Banker, recently reported TranStar's customer loyalty
technology as a tool which merchants are beginning to look to in
their drive to increase profits and reduce the costs associated with
credit and debit card processing.
Several retailers have already begun
utilizing the TranStar smartcard program to both increase sales and
decrease transaction costs. Bill Gibson of Chico, California who
owns and operates six Subway stores began selling the TranStar
stored-value smart cards in June. He states: "It costs me an average
of $300 to $500 per month per location to accept credit cards. I am
getting eaten up with expenses. What the smart chip has enabled me
to do is allow me to convert people and reduce my
fees."
TranStar CEO, Michael Radlovic, will be a
featured speaker at the prestigious Cartes Convention 2003, the
leading European trade show and conference for smart cards and
advanced security technology. Mr. Radlovic will be discussing how
the TranStar smartcard and wireless customer loyalty technology can
reduce costs and increase profits in the retail, hospitality,
government, and healthcare sectors.
